Mangrove Restoration in Southern Clarendon
This gallery highlights the mangrove restoration efforts in Southern Clarendon, Jamaica, led through collaboration between Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Horace Chang, Professor Terrence Forester and the UWI SODECO team, NEPA, the Forestry Department, and the Ministry of Economic Growth and Job Creation.
The project focuses on restoring vital hydrological flow to help mangroves thrive and strengthen Jamaica’s coastal ecosystems. It reflects a shared commitment to environmental stewardship, climate resilience, biodiversity protection, and sustainable community development.
