Peake Bay has experienced significant mangrove loss due to prolonged droughts and reduced freshwater inflows and tidal flushing, leading to hypersaline soil conditions. These less than ideal conditions contribute significantly to mangrove degradation and subsequent die back. Our restoration strategy involves improving water circulation and reestablishing the natural hydrological connections to revive the mangrove habitat.
