About the ExCoRe (Exercise for Cognitive Rehabilitation) Project
The ExCoRe (Exercise for Cognitive Rehabilitation) Project is a research initiative focused on examining the effects of exercise on cognitive function in adult survivors of childhood malnutrition. Childhood malnutrition remains a significant public health concern and may have lasting effects on health and cognitive performance well into adulthood.

Through the implementation of a structured exercise intervention, the project measures the effect of aerobic exercise on cognition and overall well-being. Participants undergo a series of assessments designed to evaluate health status and cognitive function before and after intervention. The assessments provide valuable information on the relationship between aerobic exercise, health, and cognitive function.

The project contributes to ongoing research on factors that influence cognitive health and quality of life across the lifespan. By focusing on adults who experienced malnutrition during childhood, ExCoRe aims to enhance understanding of the long-term impact of early-life nutritional challenges and the potential benefits of exercise-based interventions.

This work reflects UWI SODECO's commitment to advancing research that addresses important health issues and supports evidence-based approaches to improving health outcomes in Caribbean populations.
