This randomized controlled trial evaluates whether enhanced nutrient-enriched feeds can improve executive function and emotional regulation in 1-year-old children recovering from moderate acute malnutrition (MAM) in Bangladesh. The study also investigates how the gut microbiome and nutritional interventions interact to shape brain development, with implications for scalable treatments that address long-term cognitive deficits from early malnutrition.
